Thanks for sharing this ‘waypost’ on the writing journey! Your works with WTRB (writings, podcast) have had a profound impact on myself and some friends of mine who are along the path of self-discovery and living a meaningful life.
I believe that there’s others out there who may not have had the chance to work with you on coaching sessions directly but would immensely benefit from you creating a work that brought them into your ideas about life, aligning values and purpose, and just asking the big questions.
I know this is true because I’m one of them :)
While I’m just at the beginning of my own writing journey, hearing your story helps validate my own desire to write, even with the fears and rationales that might dissuade me from doing so.
Love the writing every day mantra. Julia Cameron’s “The Artist’s Way” (great read!) inspired me to write morning pages this year, which has shown me I have a passion for writing I didn’t know existed.
Hoping to continue to follow your journey and community you create.
It’s a lighthouse for others of us starting the journey.
You might find this I read today of interest, there’s a snippet on being a “Real Writer” and how it’s a creative dead end, in author’s opinion https://jomc.substack.com/p/the-unreal-writer
I appreciate your sharing the different forces in your mind pulling you in different directions, and love that you are following your heart. I’ve been returning to more writing the last couple years and it is rejuvenating, as well as to do it neither for my work (I was a reporter) or school.
Thanks also for the curated items from this community.
Thank you Kat! Gotta love and appreciate that mind that pulls us in different directions! I've been watching your return to writing and I also appreciate your sharing of the journey. It has been helpful for me as well!
